Don Schaefer (Donald T. Schaefer) was born on February 13, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), Schaefer attended the University of Notre Dame. Schaefer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
