Don Savage (Donald Anthony Savage) was born on March 5, 1919 in Bloomfield, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1944 for the New York Yankees. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 4 home runs and 24 RBI. Savage played for the New York Yankees for his entire 2 year career.
