Don Norton (Donald Farris Norton) was born on March 13, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa. After going to high school at Anamosa (IA), Norton attended the University of Iowa. Norton made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1962 was Don Norton's best year, as he hauled in 48 receptions, had 771 receiving yards and caught 7 TD passes.
