Don Hover (Don R. Hover) was born on December 13, 1954 in Seattle, Washington. After going to high school at Issaquah (WA), Hover attended Washington State Universtiy. Hover made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Don Hover's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
