Don Heffner (Donald Henry Heffner) was born on February 8, 1911 in Rouzerville, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1934 for the New York Yankees. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 0 home runs and 25 RBI. Heffner played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Don Heffner's best season was 1938, when he knocked in 69 runs.
