Don Healy (Michael Donald Healy) was born on August 28, 1936 in Rome, New York. After going to high school at Free Academy (Rome, NY), Healy attended the University of Maryland. Healy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 4 year NFL career.Healy also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.
Most people believe that 1961 was Don Healy's best year, as he recovered 5 opponents fumbles.
