Don Demeter (Donald Lee Demeter) was born on June 25, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1956 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1959, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 18 home runs and 70 RBI. Demeter played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Don Demeter's best season was 1962, when he slugged 29 home runs, hit for a .307 average and knocked in 107 runs.
