Born on August 14, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Don Carman (Donald Wayne Carman) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers over the course of his 10 year career. Carman broke into the bigs on October 1, 1983 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 2.08 ERA in 86.1 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Don Carman's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.08 ERA and struck out 87 batters.
