Don Bessillieu (Donald Andrew Bossillieu) was born on May 4, 1956 in Fort Benning, Georgia. After going to high school at Kendrick (Columbus, GA), Bessillieu attended Georgia Institure of Technology. Bessillieu made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Raiders and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1980 was Don Bessillieu's best year, as he picked off 4 passes, had 890 kick return yards and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
