Dolphins in a Lot of Trouble

The Miami Dolphins are 0-7, and it doesn't appear as though they will win a game any time soon. The Dolphins are playing the Giants this weekend which is one of the Dolphin's eight home games this season, the only thing is that the game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. The Dolphins have an aging QB, Trent Green, who is way past his prime, and if he gets hit in the head one more time, his career could be done with. So, for now Miami's starting QB is the inexperienced, 28-year old Cleo Lemon. Not only that, Miami's RB, Ronnie Brown, who could have easily gone to the Pro Bowl this year, is out for the rest of the year after suffering a torn ACL, and he will need surgery to repair it. Miami traded their number one receiver, Chris Chambers, away to the SD Chargers right before the trade deadline for a second-round pick. Now, the dolphins best receiver is 31-year old Marty Booker, who hasn't ever really been a great number one target in his career (Chambers, and Brown were/are the top 2 in receiving yards for Miami).
Miami's defense isn't what you would call 'great', either. The once great defense is aging, as well, and and injury or two has affected them, especially Zach Thomas, who has declined a little this year due to a toe injury, and his age, yet Thomas is still Miami's leader in tackles. Surprisingly the Dolphin's offense is ranked as high as 15th in the league right now, but will go down a little due to the loss of Ronnie Brown. Their defense, on the other hand, is 27th, and just getting worse, and worse.
With Ronnie Brown on the field, Miami rushed for 115.1 YPG, but that number will drop down to under 100 with Jesse Chatman running the ball, who has carried the ball just 20 times this year, but averages 5.9 YPC. Miami has average 218 passing yards a game with Lemon, and Green under Center, but Brown was a big contributer to the passing game as well. Marty Booker and rookie wideout Ted Ginn, Jr. will have to step up if the Dolphins want to win a few games. Miami has a tough road ahead of them. The Dolphins play the red hot Giants this Sunday, then have a bye. The rest of their games come against the Bills, Eagles, Steelers, Jets, Bills, Ravens, Patriots, and Bengals. I believe they will finish the season 1-15 (beating the Bills once). The Dolphins are in rebuilding mode, and as of right now, the only thing they are fighting for is the first overall draft pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the 0-7 Rams are competing with them.
