Dolph Eckstein (Adolph William Eckstein) was born on May 7, 1902 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Eckstein attended Brown University. Eckstein made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 2 year career.
