Dolph Camilli (Adolph Louis Camilli) was born on April 23, 1907 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1933 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 16 home runs and 87 RBI. Camilli played for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Brooklyn Dodgers and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Dolph Camilli's best season was 1936, when he slugged 28 home runs, hit for a .315 average and knocked in 102 runs.
