Does my Team suck?

First base is pretty weak, unless Thome has a HUGE rebound. McCann might be good, as might Kinsler, but neither of those are solid. Your outfield is pretty good, except Taveras. He most likely won't even be starting, so you should let him go and get someone else. If you're dead set on an Astro that might not have been picked up, Preston Wilson and Jason Lane will both be starters this year. With Bagwell out, Chris Burke is another that will probably get a lot of playing time. I gotta say that your pitching flat-out blows. Oswalt and Schilling are solid, but I've never been terribly impressed with the injury-prone Burnett. Even if he plays, he probably won't get you many wins. Millwood's ERA will blow up in Ameriquest this year, and Wang is a question mark. Cordero and Baez are solid, but Benitez is washed up and Weathers was never that good anyway.

I think the rotation is pretty strong, espcecially if Burnett gets healthy. I read today that Garner intends to play Taverez and have hin hit leadoff. Lane and Wilson will be on either side with Taverez in Center.

Well, I don't know what the scoring will be like in the league you're playing in, but I had Taveras on my team last year, and aside from getting me some stolen bases, he really hurt me. His hitting was inconsistent, the Astros were terrible at scoring baserunners (especially starting from firstbase as Taveras always was), and he almost never got RBIs because of all his infield singles. As an Astro, I like him, but I wouldn't particularly care to have him on my fantasy team, unless you think you need stolen bases just that badly.

Why is everyone focused on Taverez? I am only playing 3 OFers and unless Rolen gets hurt again or sucks, my 3 OFers will be Cabrera, Bay and Edmonds.
