Doc McJames

Born on August 27, 1873 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, Doc McJames (James McCutchen McJames) played for the Washington Senators, Baltimore Orioles and Brooklyn Superbas over the course of his 6 year career. McJames broke into the bigs on September 24, 1895 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.27 ERA in 280.1 innings pitched in 1896, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Doc McJames's best season was 1898, when he posted a 2.36 ERA, won 27 games and struck out 178 batters.
