Doc Gautreau (Walter Paul Gautreau) was born on July 26, 1901 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on June 22, 1925 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1925, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 0 home runs and 23 RBI. Gautreau played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career.
