Doc Bushong (Albert John Bushong) was born on September 15, 1856 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on July 19, 1875 for the Brooklyn Atlantics. In 1880, his rookie year, he hit .171 with 0 home runs and 19 RBI. Bushong played for the Brooklyn Atlantics, Philadelphia Athletics, Worcester Ruby Legs, Cleveland Spiders, St. Louis Browns and Brooklyn Bridegrooms over the course of his 13 year career.
