Born on March 30, 1945 in Oelwein, Iowa, Dick Woodson (Richard Lee Woodson) played for the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees over the course of his 5 year career. Woodson broke into the bigs on April 8, 1969 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 3.67 ERA in 110.1 innings pitched in 1969, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Woodson's best season was 1972, when he posted a 2.72 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 150 batters.
