Dick Wildung (Richard Kay Wildung) was born on August 16, 1921 in Scotland, South Dakota. After going to high school at Luverne (MN), Wildung attended the University of Minnesota. Wildung made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Dick Wildung's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
