Born on August 3, 1927 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Dick Welteroth (Richard John Welteroth) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 3 year career. Welteroth broke into the bigs on May 16, 1948 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 5.51 ERA in 65.1 innings pitched in 1948, his rookie year.
