Born on May 21, 1909 in Herrick, South Dakota, Dick Ward (Richard O. Ward) played for the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career. Ward broke into the bigs on May 3, 1934 with the Chicago Cubs.
