Dick Tyson (Richard Hal Tyson) was born on January 5, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. After going to high school at Sumner (Kansas City, MO), Tyson attended Independence Community College and the University of Tulsa. Tyson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders over the course of his 2 year career.
