Born on May 14, 1947 in San Francisco, California, Dick Tidrow (Richard William Tidrow) played for the Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and New York Mets over the course of his 13 year career. Tidrow broke into the bigs on April 18, 1972 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 2.77 ERA in 237.1 innings pitched in 1972, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Tidrow's best season was 1972, when he posted a 2.77 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 123 batters.
