Dick Starr

Born on March 2, 1921 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Dick Starr (Richard Eugene Starr) played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators over the course of his 5 year career. Starr broke into the bigs on September 5, 1947 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.32 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched in 1949, his rookie year.
