Dick Sisler (Richard Allan Sisler) was born on November 2, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1946 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 3 home runs and 42 RBI. Sisler played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Dick Sisler's best season was 1950, when he hit for a .296 average and knocked in 83 runs.
