Dick Sandefur (Richard W. Sandefur) was born on August 1, 1912 in Evansville, Indiana. After going to high school at Memorial (Evansville, IN), Sandefur attended Purdue University. Sandefur made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1936 was Dick Sandefur's best year.
