Dick Riffle (F. Richard Riffle) was born on February 2, 1915 in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Riffle attended Albright College. Riffle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1942 was Dick Riffle's best year, as he ran in 4 TDs and picked off 4 passes.
