Dick Ottele (Richard Ottele) was born on December 8, 1926 in Yuma, Colorado. After going to high school at Woodrow Wilson (Long Beach, CA), Ottele attended the University of Washington. Ottele made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Los Angeles Dons. He played for the Los Angeles Dons for his entire 1 year career.
