Dick Modzelewski (Richard Blair Modzelewski) was born on February 16, 1931 in West Natrona, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Har-Brac (Brackenridge, PA), Modzelewski attended the University of Maryland. Modzelewski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Dick Modzelewski's best year.
