Dick Mesak (Richard Masaryk Mesak) was born on March 1, 1919 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Mission (San Francisco, CA) and St. Mary's (Berkeley, CA), Mesak attended St. Mary's College of California. Mesak made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
