Dick Mcgrath (Richard James McGrath) was born on June 30, 1901 in Winthrop, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Seton Hall Prep (South Orange, NJ) and St. John's Prep (Brooklyn, NY), Mcgrath attended Holy Cross College. Mcgrath made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Brooklyn Lions. He played for the Brooklyn Lions for his entire 1 year career.
