Dick Lynch (Richard Dennis Lynch) was born on April 29, 1936 in Oceanside, New York. After going to high school at St. James (New York, NY) and St. Philip (Phillpsburg, NJ), Lynch attended the University of Notre Dame. Lynch made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Dick Lynch's best year, as he picked off 9 passes and ran back 3 interceptions for touchdowns.
