Dick Klein (Richard Klein) was born on February 11, 1934 in Pana, Illinois. After going to high school at Schlarman (Danville, IL), Klein attended the University of Georgia and the University of Iowa. Klein made his professional debut in the NFL in 1958 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Klein also played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Boston Patriots and Oakland Raiders over the course of his 4 year AFL career.

Most people believe that 1961 was Dick Klein's best year.
