Dick Kercher (Richard S. Kercher) was born on March 11, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana. After going to high school at Central (Evansville, IN), Kercher attended the University of Tulsa. Kercher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
