Born on September 27, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, Dick Hall (Richard Wallace Hall) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Athletics, Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 19 year career. Hall broke into the bigs on April 15, 1952 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.91 ERA in 94.1 innings pitched in 1955, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Hall's best season was 1965, when he posted a 3.07 ERA, won 11 games, notched 12 saves and struck out 79 batters.
