Born on March 5, 1912 in Vineland, New Jersey, Dick Errickson (Richard Merriwell Errickson) played for the Boston Braves and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 5 year career. Errickson broke into the bigs on April 27, 1938 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 3.15 ERA in 122.2 innings pitched in 1938, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Dick Errickson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1940, when he posted a 3.16 ERA and won 12 games. However, others believe that it was 1938, when he posted a 3.15 ERA.
