Born on July 1, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dick Drott (Richard Fred Drott) played for the Chicago Cubs and Houston Colt .45s over the course of his 7 year career. Drott broke into the bigs on April 16, 1957 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.58 ERA in 229 innings pitched in 1957, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Drott's best season was 1957, when he posted a 3.58 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 170 batters.
