Born on June 25, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio, Dick Drago (Richard Anthony Drago) played for the Kansas City Royals, Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 13 year career. Drago broke into the bigs on April 11, 1969 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 3.77 ERA in 200.2 innings pitched in 1969, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Drago's best season was 1971, when he posted a 2.98 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 109 batters.
