Born on October 26, 1926 in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Dick Bokelmann (Richard Werner Bokelmann) played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 3 year career. Bokelmann broke into the bigs on August 3, 1951 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.78 ERA in 52.1 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.
