Born on September 28, 1906 in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, Dick Barrett (Tracy Souter Barrett) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 5 year career. Barrett broke into the bigs on June 27, 1933 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 5.76 ERA in 70.1 innings pitched in 1933, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dick Barrett's best season was 1943, when he posted a 2.90 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 85 batters.
