Dick Barker (Richard William Barker, Jr.) was born on January 6, 1897 in Sedalia, Missouri. After going to high school at Central (Oklahoma City, OK), Barker attended Iowa State University. Barker made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Rock Island Independents. He played for the Rock Island Independents for his entire 1 year career.
