Dick Abrell (Richard Thompson Abrell) was born on May 15, 1892 in Linton, Indiana. After going to high school at Linton (IN), Abrell attended Purdue University. Abrell made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Dayton Triangles. He played for the Dayton Triangles for his entire 1 year career.
