Dextor Clinkscale (Frederick Dextor Clinkscale) was born on April 13, 1958 in Greenville, South Carolina. After going to high school at J.L. Mann (Greenville, SC), Clinkscale attended South Carolina State University. Clinkscale made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Dextor Clinkscale's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown and recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
