Dewey Williams (Dewey Edgar Williams) was born on February 5, 1916 in Durham, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on June 28, 1944 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .240 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Williams played for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 5 year career.
