[edit] BiographyHeads into the spring listed as the backup to Brian Robiskie at split end ... lettered in 2004 as a true freshman, but sat out the last 10 games of the 2005 campaign because of an ankle injury ... was able to practice in the spring and should be full-go in the fall of 2006 ... big, physical receiver with excellent hands and fine speed ... has all the tools to be a standout, just needs to stay healthy and gain experience ... saw significant minutes down the stretch his freshman year and figured to one of the Buckeyes' top six receivers before being hurt last year ... moved briefly to safety as a freshman after injuries ravished the OSU secondary ... also plays on the special teams. 2006 (Sophomore): Saw action in three-consecutive Big Ten games at Michigan State and vs. Indiana and Minnesota. 2005 (Redshirt): Played in the first two games (Miami and Texas), but injured his left ankle in practice prior to the San Diego State game and missed the remainder of the season. 2004 (Freshman): Played in all 12 games ... caught his first pass at Michigan State and hauled in a 15-yard reception the following week at Purdue ... totaled 30 minutes of playing time on the year ... longest stints were six minutes against Indiana and five minutes at Purdue. High School: Earned a reputation in high school as a "big play" player ... enhanced that reputation as a senior, converting 14 of his 23 receptions into touchdowns ... also played defensive back and had 52 tackles and four interceptions as a senior ... named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's "Fab 22" team ... finished junior season with 49 tackles, five interceptions and forced five fumbles ... also ran track (100, 200 and 4x100)
