Desmond Howard (Desmond Kevin Howard) was born on May 15, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at St. Joseph Academy (Cleveland, OH), Howard attended the University of Michigan. Howard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1992 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars over the course of his 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1994 was Desmond Howard's best year, as he hauled in 40 receptions, had 727 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
In his career, Desmond Howard won the Heisman Trophy in 1991 and was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXXI after he returned a kick 99 yards for a touchdown for the Green Bay Packers.
