Derrick Ramsey (Derrick Kent Ramsey) was born on December 23, 1956 in Hastings, Florida. After going to high school at Camden (NJ) and Hastings (FL), Ramsey attended the University of Kentucky. Ramsey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Raiders over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was Derrick Ramsey's best year, as he hauled in 66 receptions, had 792 receiving yards and caught 7 TD passes.
