Derek Tennell (Derek Wayne Tennell) was born on February 12, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at West Covina (CA), Tennell attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Tennell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1987 was Derek Tennell's best year.
