Derek Smith (Derek Mecham Smith) was born on January 18, 1975 in American Fork, Utah. After going to high school at American Fork (UT), Smith attended Arizona State University and Snow College. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1997 with the Washington Redskins. He has played for the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 2001 was Derek Smith's best year.
