Born on August 2, 1956 in Long Beach, California, Derek Botelho (Derek Wayne Botelho) played for the Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 2 year career. Botelho broke into the bigs on July 18, 1982 with the Kansas City Royals.
