Born on February 25, 1939 in Corona, California, Denny Lemaster (Denver Clayton Lemaster) played for the Milwaukee Braves, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros and Montreal Expos over the course of his 11 year career. Lemaster broke into the bigs on July 15, 1962 with the Milwaukee Braves, and put up a 3.01 ERA in 86.2 innings pitched in 1962, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Denny Lemaster's best season was 1964, when he posted a 4.15 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 185 batters.
